Moiko Silkscreen- Cupcakes (17.49)

A$15.00

Moiko silkscreens are my personal preferred brand of silkscreens, and are hand made in Poland by artist Gosia Wawrzynczak.

How to use your silkscreen:

  1. Place the silkscreen bright side down on your surface (If the Moiko name can be read properly on top, you’ve got the correct side!)

  2. Put a line of paint along one edge (a heavy body acrylic such as Liquidex or Ironlak are best).

  3. Spread the paint across the stencil with an old credit card. I like to do it down and across to get good coverage.

  4. Remove the stencil by carefully lifting it up by one corner. Don’t let it drop back down as this can cause smudging.

  5. Wash with cold running water and a tiny amount of gentle dishwashing detergent ASAP. If you place it in a bowl of water first, make sure it is fully submerged.

  6. Leave your silkscreen to dry on paper towel or a similar absorbent material.

Please note:
Be sure to clean your screen immediately after use.
Do not allow the paint to dry on your screen or it will ruin your silk screen.
Slight discoloration after a few uses is totally normal and should not impact the print.
You can also use mica powders, inks and pigments with the silkscreen, and print onto paper, wood etc. as well as polymer clay.
Silkscreens that have been looked after properly can last many uses but their lives can be limited if not treated with care.

The size is approx. 74mm x 105mm (A7)
