Hello! I’m Erin, and I’m the maker behind Twee and Me.

I’ve been making art and craft pieces my whole life- I have vivid memories of turning a stocking into a pig as a child- and I think I’ve finally found my absolute favourite medium. Polymer clay opens up a world of possibilities when it comes to design, and I’ve been lucky enough to make it my main gig!

Twee and Me is based from my home in Sydney, Australia. Before jumping head first into jewellery design, I was a photographer, then an Early Childhood Teacher, then a full-time Mum to Willow and Rupert. In my spare time you’ll find me drinking craft beer, reading, playing boardgames… but my favourite is an evening with a glass of wine and my polymer clay!

Thanks for popping by! I hope while you’re here you find a piece that’s completely YOU and that you love as much as I loved making it!

xx Erin

How my pieces are made

My pieces are made using polymer clay. Each piece starts as a lump of clay that needs to be worked and worked until it is conditioned and ready to go. Then I make it into a slab to work off of, or twist it into a freeform shape. Sometimes a slab will have details added to it and be built into a picture. Other times, I roll colours out into a snake and cut slices off to add to the slab before rolling flat. Maybe I swirl different colours together to make a marble. There’s always pressing designs in, and adding foils, glitters, mica powders for extra special effects… There are so many ways to create with this material and I’m forever experimenting and learning.

When the clay is how I want it, I pop it in the family oven to cure. Curing the clay properly makes it lovely and strong and hard so that it can last. Then I can sand it down to make the edges perfect, add the jewellery components to put it into its form, and it all comes together as a gorgeous pair of earrings!
