The name was born of a joke with my IRL friends because I chat a lot about my clay mates (clay is my life, okay?!) and they enjoy pretending that I just make my own lil friends out of clay and think they’re real (Yeah they’re meanies). Anyway, over time I began wishing I could just put all my clay mates in one little group and have a lovely warm community in which we could all just live our best clay lives. So, I thought I’d take the plunge and give it a go! I’m so glad you’ve elected to join me! Its brand spanking new right now so lets get off to a strong start and see how amazing we can make this!

    To be a part of an IG community within the Clay Mates account- informal chats, stories, reposts of member's work relating to our activities- you're welcome to engage as little or as much as you like

    You can now follow the account @ClayMatesCommunity - its private but I’ll let you in ASAP! I’ll follow you back through that account so I can see what you’re making!

  • Lives

    One guaranteed Live a month!

    This will be saved as an IGTV afterwards so if you can’t make it you’ll still get to see it. We’ll try to do different times of day so that wherever you are in the world you’ll have a chance to interact live.

    There will be at least 24hrs notice before a Live.

    The topic of discussion/demonstration to be voted on by whole community through a poll in IG stories.

  • Community Activities

    Every month I'll set an activity, like a challenge or prompt, to inspire everyone's making. I'll be there alongside you to offer advice, feedback and answer questions- and of course to take part myself!

    Now this is what I’m really excited for! Let’s learn new techniques and try new things- true growth only comes from pushing yourself!

  • This website!

    As well as the IG, there is the Clay Mates Community section of my website. Here there will be blog posts and tips and tricks.

    This will incorporate clay making as well as small business related issues, social media, art theory, ethical conversations, and who knows what else. I get randomly inspired to sit and write about these things all the time, now my musings have a home finally!

  • + For you Besties

    Additional IG content in the form of BTS informal stories. I hope for these to be entertaining and informative, just little tips and tricks and things I do that aren’t substantial enough for a whole post or blog, but that I think you’ll find interesting or helpful.

  • Private group chat

    A responsive private group chat of 10 people- the aim of this is to be able to provide more in depth personalised feedback both from me and your fellow makers. This is a very subjective medium so its good to get multiple perspectives sometimes!

  • Zoom meetings

    A Zoom meeting once a month.

    I will run a discussion and Q and A in which you are welcome to have your camera on and offer your voice, or turn the camera off and just listen. Your level of involvement is dependant on your comfort!

  • Mentoring sessions

    You will be eligible to book a (paid) mentoring session. This can be conducted via email or Zoom. More info on this very soon!

  • Early access to releases

    You'll receive an email with a password to be able to enter my website early for releases, usually 12-24 hours before the public.

  • Upgrading/ downgrading and leaving

    If you ever wanna upgrade, downgrade, or leave, we can do that easily. Email me at erin@tweeandme.com , message me on the @ClayMatesCommunity IG or cancel through your member account.

We all lead busy lives, I know. Here on this calendar I’ll keep you up to date about plans for Lives, Zooms, activities etc.

 

I want to list some ground rules, the breaking of which can result in a warning or your subscription terminated:

  • No trash talking. Anyone. Not me, not fellow people in the community, or others outside of it. This will not be tolerated. You can dislike someone or their work without being nasty about it.

  • No screenshotting and sharing content from this website or the private IG. The exclusivity is what’s earning me an income for my work, guys, so lets be respectful of the time and effort involved in running this community.
